My Story

I'm fundraising for Gambia to enable a once in a lifetime opportunity for youth members to experience the culture of Gambia.

I am a Scout that works on initiative and reading situations and people. I am not one to shy away from a problem when there is a job to be done, no matter the difficulty. I am a hard-working, conscientious, confident person that works great as a team member and who can easily step into a leading role when it’s needed. I feel my skill sets can be used to enhance the experiences of everyone on the trip by being a happy and bouncy individual.

I would like to make a difference to the day to day lives of a community that has significantly less resources than I am used to. Through all my years in Scouting, I have gained Skills for Life that I would like to pass on to those communities. Hopefully I can also learn a lot from them that I can take home with me. Their culture, traditions and experiences are completely different to my own and I would love the opportunity to immerse myself into that.
